Plumb Design Honored with Spot in New York Technology Fast 50
New York, September 20, 2000 —Plumb Design, Inc., today announced its inclusion as a Shooting Star in the 2000 New York Technology Fast 50, sponsored by Deloitte & Touche.
The Technology Fast 50 is an annual ranking that showcases the fastest-growing technology companies in 26 regions in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. To qualify, companies must have achieved specific revenue thresholds and been in business for at least five years. Companies chosen to receive the Shooting Star designation have met the same revenue thresholds but have been in business for between three and five years. Founded in 1997, Plumb Design was too young to be eligible for this year's Fast 50, but its selection as a Shooting Star is an indication of its strength both in the industry and in the New York region.
Plumb Design's ability to create consistently high-quality work under tight industry-standard deadlines has enabled it to achieve, from June 1997 to June 2000, a compound sequential revenue growth rate of 79.5%. Other numbers also point to the company's potential for sustained growth and success: for the quarter ending June 2000, revenues grew over 700% from the June 1999 quarter, and for fiscal year 2000, the company is on track for growth of close to 300% over 1999.
"We're honored to be included in such an esteemed group of technology companies. Over the past three years we have worked hard to build and strengthen our organization, and we appreciate this recognition of our dedication. We attribute our success to our collaborative client relationships, to the quality of our software products, and to the exceptional work our team produces. We hope that by creating user-focused applications we are raising user expectations and helping people uncover the information they need," said Mary Azzarto, CEO of Plumb Design.
